Labor Doula | Postpartum Doula
(she/her)
Experience: 3 years and 200+ births attended!
My goal as your doula is to create a space where parents feel deeply supported throughout their birth experience. At the heart of my work is a nurturing, steady presence. I am especially attuned to supporting anxiety, offering gentle reassurance and emotional grounding so you feel safe, calm, and able to trust in the natural rhythm of birth.
I recognize that having a voice, a choice, and support is integral to having a positive experience. I’m committed to making information accessible and meaningful so that decisions can be made with clarity and ease. Empowering and advocating for my clients and ensuring their voices are heard is central to my support.
I offer trauma-informed care and celebrate the diversity of the individuals and couples I support, recognizing that every family is unique. By gently dismantling societal expectations, I help create space for you to approach your birth and postpartum experience in a way that feels deeply true to you.

Q&A with Megan |
Q&A with Megan |
Q: On a scale of 1-10, how “crunchy” are you?
I am about a 5. I think balance is important. I find inspiration in nature and hold a deep appreciation for science. So while I do love herbal teas, I also know that having a giant cold brew is essential to my survival!
Q: As a doula, do you support births where they plan to use pain medications like epidurals?
Yes, absolutely! I believe it is your body, your birth, and your choice. Epidurals are just a tool and do not determine your need for birth support. You deserve support and care no matter how you wish to labor.
Q: Who are your typical clients?
My clients are individuals and couples who approach birth from a place of openness. They wish to incorporate the safety and security that modern medicine offers them while still honoring the natural aspects of birth.
Q: Do you support LGBTQ+ families?
Absolutely. Supporting our LGBTQ+ community is personally very important to me. I strive to create a welcoming space no matter who you are or who you love. I offer caring, inclusive, gender-affirming support to all of my clients!
Q: Do you have any experience supporting individuals who have been affected by trauma?
Yes. I have experience in art therapy and continuing education in social work. As someone who feels everyone could benefit from therapy, I strive to always offer trauma-informed care to my clients.
Q: Is your glass half-full or half-empty?
Half full. I believe in the power of thought and that what you think, you create. Having a positive mindset allows me to approach the world with the expectation of good.
Q: What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?
I like curling up on the couch with my cats to crochet a blanket while watching Netflix. I love to dance and listen to my music WAY too loud. And I am always up for a women’s soccer game! Go KC Current!!!
I grew up on the island of Kauai, Hawaiʻi, where community was not just something you belonged to, but something you lived inside of. “Ohana” shaped the way I understand care, connection, and responsibility to one another, and those early experiences still guide how I move through the world. I have always been an old soul, drawn to shared spaces, quiet moments, and the deep comfort that comes from knowing you are held by more than just yourself.
I am someone who finds meaning in the in-between moments, in creativity, in nature, and in the rhythms that slow us down enough to listen. I am endlessly curious about the science behind intuition and the way our inner knowing weaves itself through the cycles of life. Beginnings and endings, especially the profound transition into parenthood, hold a deep reverence for me.
My desire to support people through life’s most intense and transformative moments first led me to study art therapy and social work. Over time, I realized that something essential was missing: a deeper honoring of intuition as a guide alongside knowledge and structure. That realization led me into doula work, under the guidance of my own mother, where intuition, evidence, and presence could exist together.
I was raised by my mom within a community that truly showed up, rallying together to offer care without condition. That experience gave me a deep sense of gratitude and shaped my belief in the importance of village support. After moving to the Midwest, I noticed how rare that level of collective care can be, and it strengthened my commitment to help fill that gap. Together with my mother, I strive to offer the kind of grounded, compassionate support that allows the transition into parenthood to feel held, supported, and deeply human.
